Purpose driven. People centered.
Innovative systems thinking and design strategy for businesses of all kinds.
As Mr. Rogers once told us “look for the helpers.” My passion for working with organizations acting as helpers has led me to spend 13+ years of my career supporting the business administration and development of nonprofits, primarily in the Arts and Education, and other businesses helping to create good in the world.
Originally from Long Beach, California, I moved north for school and majored in Business Management Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. After graduating and moving to the Bay Area in 2006, I went on to pursue independent studies in art history and practice with a special interest in the arts of Latin America and Asia.
Looking to increase my personal impact and expand into work with positively-impactful businesses of all shapes and sizes, I returned to school in the fall of 2017 to pursue an MBA in Design Strategy from California College of the Arts. Built around a foundation of business strategy through design thinking, the DMBA program supports my desire to be able to help build better businesses for the future through creativity, foresight, and innovation.
I balance my professional work with personal creative generation, primarily through textile manipulation and printmaking, which I share online and in person under the name the Rose on Fire. I share a flat with my dog, Jolene, my cat, Conor, and a small jungle of houseplants near Oakland’s beautiful and historic Lake Merritt district.
